BIVER shows its class in Madison
The first cow class at this year’s World Dairy Expo has been dominated by a cow with a Swiss father. Brown Heaven Biver FRENCHFRIES, Brown Heaven Ferme wins the milk yearlings class. We already knew that BIVER-daughters mature very early as the over 100 daughters which have been include nto the August breeding value estimates calved for the first time at an average of 25 months.
The previous evening in the heifer classes, BIVER showed its superiority; with a section victory (Glen Islay Biver FAIRYTALE from Glamourview-lager & Walton), second place (Cutting Edge Biver TRAIL-ET from Laurie A. Winkelman) and third place (Blessing Biver KRISTIAN from Jeffrey McKissick), it impressively showed its class in the show ring. BIVER’s further strengths including its low somatic cell scores and higher milk content round of its complete profile.
In Switzerland two fabulous heifers were recently sold by auction at the Zug Bull Market. Maximum prices of 11,500 Swiss Francs were paid for the two as yet uncalved heifers.
