SARON – positively proven with an impressive result

The only proven Orpheus-son, SARON, was forwarded by the Genetics Committee (FAG) for the second crop.

Andreas Bigler, sire analyst Simmental and Swiss Fleckvieh

The Orpheus-son SARON comes from the breeding of Michael Oesch, Eriz, from a strong maternal line with four generations of cows, all of whom achieved maximum scores and were noted for their high lifetime yields. His dam, Alfredo SAINA EX-91, was the 2015 SF champion at the Young Cow Championship in Thun. His grand-dam Bello SINA at 18 years of age has calved 16 times and produced over 100,000 kg milk.

SARON is a strong conformation bull, in particular for frame with a huge width, depth, good muscular structure and an ideal rump. With a beef value of IFV 118 he is one of the best Swiss Fleckvieh bulls. But also when it comes to milk, SARON inherits +347 kg with a strong positive protein content and somatic cell score index of 107. He also delivers an ideal milk yield of 108 with a calm cow character. He is only below average in daughter fertility due to his father ORPHEUS. With this complete progeny result he achieves a very good ISET of 1,255.
